Today i say final farewell...its our traditional farewell memorial dinner for the departed soul....age old tradition.... the fortieth day of mourning
The rocky shore extended to the sea. The town of Camarine from far we see, And fenny lake, undrain'd by fate's decree. In sight of the Geloan fields we pass, And the large walls, where mighty Gela was; Then Agragas, with lofty summits crown'd, Long for the race of warlike steeds renown'd. We pass'd Selinus, and the palmy land, And widely shun the Lilybaean strand, Unsafe, for secret rocks and moving sand. At length on shore the weary fleet arriv'd, Which Drepanum's unhappy port receiv'd. Here, after endless labors, often toss'd By raging storms, and driv'n on ev'ry coast, My dear, dear father, spent with age, I lost: Ease of my cares, and solace of my pain, Sav'd thro' a thousand toils, but sav'd in vain The prophet, who my future woes reveal'd, Yet this, the greatest and the worst, conceal'd; And dire Celaeno, whose foreboding skill Denounc'd all else, was silent of the ill. This my last labor was. Some friendly god From thence convey'd us to your blest abode.'

Carefully used words revealing the sorrow at loss and past memories of togetherness, what was once shared can be shared again but spritually. Life just gets mysterious and unpredictable unveiling secrets with each passing moment, amazing tribute. Newer finds and truth are only constant. Sorry for your loss.

Saadat, it is said that powerful emotions trigger the creative soul like nothing else. Surely this is the case in this beautiful tribute to your dear father. Your metric flow is flawless. The poetic style of your words, impeccable. The poem could have been penned a thousand years ago - and yet its message is timeless. Congratulations. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

A sad and painful farewell, that of a son to his father. The end of a chapter in your life, yet the book is not finished. Your father guides you on your journey, from the other side of eternity, but still very much a part of your life. You are his legacy, and a fine one it is, Saadat. I'm sure he is very proud of the son he nurtured into a caring, compassionate human being. May he rest in peace, and may you find your peace, also.
