Good Comes From Good Alone Poem by Dr John Celes

Good Comes From Good Alone

Rating: 4.0

If good comes out of good, all things are fine;
If good comes out of bad, things awry go;
A tree that's good will bear good fruits alone;
Good seed in soil that's bad just cannot grow.

You can't bring forth fruits good from bad a source;
Bad thoughts can't give rise to good deeds at all;
The source does matter for the end product;
A mind that's good avoids a mighty fall.

God knows the heart afilled with scorn and pride;
A mask upon a face can dupe many;
One cannot cheat the Almighty for long;
A heart of evil can't do good any.

God can forgive if you repent for wrong;
All human plans can go amiss some day;
God can't allow evil to ev'r prevail.
Designs of God will see the light, His way.

The God who's good ensures that truth triumphs;
May be, you cheat the world with your vile role;
A vice will be exposed indeed too soon;
What's use of gaining world but losing soul?
