Good Love Lost Poem by Ana Burnhep

Good Love Lost

Good love can kill you
Empty the life out of your vains
Make you a soldier
In the battle of regret

Make you dig deeper
Than buried souls lay to rest
And then you still know
You aren't even close yet

That's where I find you
A feeling that I already know
Something aquainted
Constellations seem to show

Good love can destroy you
Tangling you into a code
Then becoming haunting
A feeling to never know

Reflecting back to the image
Two empty Silhouettes
Feelings so consuming
In that moment of regret

Damn you! For making me feel so alive
Damn you! For making me bite into life
Damn you! For showing me something new

Because

Because

I lost you...
