Good Morning Poem by Miroslava Odalovic

Good Morning

Rise like a leaf tossed aside forlorn
rise-like do split the light from darkness wide
rise like a leaf fallen from the ground
tenderly softly with no feet to touch
the soil where footsteps slip - forever hide
the land where trace erased - forever gone
your lips will make no sound
and leave all eves leaning on a clutch
land lame to bathe their wounds in the sun
never being taught how to go away
stammer unsoothed to quiver spell the one
who knew how to spare a rise for the day
