Good Morning From The Country Side Poem by Patricia Gale

Good Morning From The Country Side

Rating: 5.0

Sweet morning melody ringing in my ears
Sun rise bringing to life the sound orchestrated by divine creation
Droplets of the early morn's dew shimmering
Gossamer home spun webs of beauty

Calloused hands proud of the labor giving
Blossoms budding, creating heart felt satisfaction
Proud of the birth of the fruit to follow
Tender loving care to nurture the Gardner’s pride

Marigolds golden blooms
Lilies essence filling the air
The fresh scent of new tilled soil
Robins scampering for the morning feast

Breath taking rays of color
Orangish streaks
Across a canvas of morning blue
Lightly dotted with white billowing clouds

A cool breeze brings contentment
Rustling the maple trees
As the warmth begins to rise
I spy a cardinal display his crimson red wings

High above the barn
A hawk soars above the fields
Trembling little hoppers scurry for protection
And he perches and waits for the moment

Thankful for the morning show
To be able to see all its glory
I breathe a deep sigh
And find peacefulness early in the morn’
