And what will it be this morning?
A laugh, a joke, a cup of coffee?
What does it take to start your day
and make it sing?
Good morning, hello, a kiss,
I love you
are these your bridge from
night to morning
helping the sunrise glow
in two peoples' eyes?
Cat purrs, meows and ankle twining
subtle demand for food and love
puppy whine and scent,
deep chested barking
and bouncing for a walk
how do you start your day?
And once your day is started
do you sing?
Is joy your main companion?
Hear me sing for you
a hundred thousand little prayers
for joy dancing,
singing, through the ether.
