Good People; Good Nation. Poem by Ologunde Joshua Abiodun

Good People; Good Nation.

I saw the Green-White-Green
The horses that stands gallant
Tense with prestige and opulence
Good land of prolific virtues'
And now; I sat and think!

Were is the happy nation?
Giving to us by our heroes-past
How do we return a fresh duplicate
To our heroes and 'givers'
Of what we earn from our Fathers

Oh! Nigeria, We shared your lonely watch
by night;
We've conceal your urges and ready
to make anew!
When You triumph or despairs
Our love will continually breastfeed You

We can but still wait and watch awhile
Until our track of allegiance is complete
May the wind of God; 'maker of all'
Blow hope, integrity, love, unity and prosperity
To our Great realm and nation, Nigeria! .
