Goodbye Poem by Nikita Poffley

Goodbye

Rating: 5.0

So many hours I wait by the window hoping to see you walk through my front door.
So many hours I have regrets of not being there to catch you.
So many hours I wait to be with you once again.
I know you’re gone but so many times I have seen you walking ahead.

So many times I’ve thought of how I could have prevented this.
So many hours spent thinking of you.
So many hours I’ve been waiting to see you once again.
I know you’re gone but so many times I heard your voice calling me from the dead.

So many hours I look out into the rain and know that you’re above.
So many hours I have regretted watching you do this to yourself.
So many hours I have thought of talking to you once again.
I know you’re gone but so many times I have wished to touch your hand.

Not enough hours in a day to say goodbye.
Not enough hours in a week to let you know how much I miss you.
Not enough hours in a month to tell you how many times I think about you.
Not enough hours in a year to let you know that I haven’t stopped crying about you.
No matter how long you’ve been gone there will never be a time when I wish I was there to stop you from disappearing.
And never will there be enough times I wish to tell you ‘I love you’ and kiss your lips goodbye.
