you had to be perfect
you had to be right
it had to be your way
and I couldn't fight

I gave into myself
and gave up to some hope
looked you dead in the eye
and realized you would never just cope

for so long I screamed
and so long you laughed
but now I'm on my own road
never to look back

an experience for sure
and abuse the beholder
but you never get wiser
without getting older

and old I am now
and tired for certain
gone of you, free
done, thats my curtain
