Goodbye Gorgeous Poem by Clare McWilliams

Goodbye Gorgeous

Rating: 5.0

Well now it's time to say goodbye,
Not time to talk, or time to cry.
I think that pride got in the way,
Of all the things I meant to say.

Like, yes, I know, I think you're right
This really is to big a fight.
But I'm not sorry that we tried,
I'm only sorry we had to hide.

Both, from ourselves and from each~other.
You can't find me, I'm undercover!
And yet, I see we found a part
Of one anothers' inner heart.

But a part is not enough, you see
With another half waiting impatiently.
Just for us to come and find them;
Our leading man, our fetale femme.

The trick is lerning to find yourself,
And not sit back upon the shelf.
I hope I helped you,
And I know you helped me
Love the person I've come to be.

Suspicious minds will be no more
No more storming out the door.
At times, Oh yes, we'll reminiss
Upon that lingering, beautiful kiss.

And some day soon, without a sigh,
We'll say hello, then wave goodbye.
