Goodmorning - Poem by Catherine Hendry

The sun is on fire
So rudely invading my sleep
Unforgiving and relentless
Crowding my beautiful darkness
Forcing prisms of whitelight
Down my throat, in a vain attempt
To persuede me to join the day …

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I enjoy sleeping and I do NOT appreciate being awakened!
