Grandmother Poem by Lauren Studenroth

Grandmother

Angelic-like voice, with the sweet sound of care

Hands smooth as silk

A loving, lasting glare

How long it has been since those sounds of loving bliss

A deep, heart melting forehead kiss

The smell of fresh pastries fill every room

Just one warm hug, curing all gloom

Gray hair and blue eyes

And no worry of time

Oh how long it has been

My sweet grandmother of mine
