Grannys Poem by Barry Van Allen

Grannys

My Granny's still alive,
well, ain't that somthin',
she called the other day,
and made my day.

I always loved my Grandma,
I know she loved me too,
when I was young and foolish,
she taught me what to do.

Grandma made me breakfast,
Grandma fixed my lunch,
my Granny took my worst abuse,
and still loved me a bunch.

There's no one quite like Grandma,
at best you might have two,
each one different,
each the same,
and each a precious jewel!

The only grandparent that I ever knew, was my granny on my Dad's side. She lived with us, and I can recall snippets of memories about her, but she passed away when I was about five. I like this poem Barry...they are wonderful people! Hugs, Dee
