Gratitude Poem by Queeny Gona

Gratitude

Rating: 5.0

Today
My prayer
Is slight
Unusual,

There are
No complaints,
Regrets,
Grumbles and the like...

Peculiar prayer
Said I
Doesn't mean
I don't thank you.

For,
You have taught
To submit
In suffering,

To give thanks
At all times,
To praise you more and more
During odd times,

To kneel
Furthermore
For unanswered
Prayers!

So I exalt
Only you
To have received
A new year of abundant blessings!

The words you used in this poetry have such a soothing effect, that it is merely impossible not to leave the reader with a pleasant experience and to acknowledge that they've got many gifts to be thankful for.10 +++

Gratitude is the greatest prayer to God! In joy and pain, if we are able to thank God, no doubt, we will be exalted! A poem pouring forth from a thankful heart!
