Gratitude Poem by butung nending

Gratitude

In the graveyard of solitude
Lies a lady fill with gratitude
If not for her no one could substitute
Life of hope to other in destitute
She shared others pain with resolute
Always willing to lend help was her attitude

Alone she bore life's burden
Strong and silent in bear garden
Always in search of truth hidden
Never lost the purity of a maiden
In a world materialist and mundane
She served the lost and forgotten children

As darkness can never cover up light
And weakness overcome our might
We must continue to strive for right
Of every soul to awake and arise
As in her life she has made us realize
Each one can help peaceful world materialize
