Graveyard Of Broken Dreams Poem by WildWorld Daughter

Graveyard Of Broken Dreams

When we first met,

I didn't like you much.

But somehow we got along,

and soon my life became a sweet love song.

You dragged me around to do things that I have never done before,

And many things you have smashed including my heart and many more.

I slowly fell in love with you,

And in the cloud nine I flew.

Then she came and stole your heart,

And you both fit together like a complex jigsaw art.

She was everything you wanted,

And your love was flaunted.

I stood in the shadows and I watched you both

And I won't lie that I didn't envy your love's growth.

Numbness was all I felt,

But when you smiled… That when I melt…

Was it so wrong of me to miss what we had?

Please save me because I'm going mad.

I walked each night through the graveyard of my broken dreams,

And I forgot what it was like to feel the sun's beams.

But when you said you love her,

That's when the remaining pieces of my heart broke.

I stood and gaped at you, unable to find say a word…

And my vision blurred…

But I got to move on and i got up accept and start again new.

I'm not going to sit around and cry for you.

Because you may not love me but I love you.
