Gray Skies To The Outside World Poem by Justin Gildow

Gray Skies To The Outside World

I look out my window
From where my apartment stands
The gray skies connect with me
In a way I can't explain

It's only mildly cold
As I stick my right hand out the window
I sit by my window
I clear my head and begin to daydream
Just being weakly happy to just dream away

Gray skies to the outside world
The triumphant forces ride quietly on horses through the city

I look out at the city
Where you and I first met
We were so lost in everything around us
Would I be the one you would trust
Would you be the one I would trust

Gray skies to the outside world
And I look all around my apartment
I return my attention to the outside world
Full of a lot of words
