Green And Grey Poem by Jose Armando Guzman

Green And Grey

I can still remember your avenues
and the rhythm of your heartbeat.
The traffic did not take one
thing away from the passion
that was about to be released.

There was a moment of grace
as I stared into those eyes
of green and grey.
Little did I know that
those lips would imprison
my mind and heart.

That city down south from
the border.
I can still feel the humidity
as the years pass me by.

Her voice is hard to place
but all was lost.
Just for one kiss.
A kiss colored with
green and grey.
