Green Eyed Monster Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

Green Eyed Monster

When you look at other women, it’s okay if it’s a glance.
But if you stare them down, as they walk away,
That is rude and not by chance.

If you have to comment on her beauty,
Don’t go on and act a fool.
Would you like it, my love, if I did that to you?

Normally I am not jealous,
But if you insist on being crude,
The green-eyed monster will come out
And rear its ugly head

Once bitten,
Twice shy, as the saying goes.
Been bitten twice, instead of once,
And I am liable to bite
