Greener Pasture... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Greener Pasture...

Rating: 4.0

Show me the other side

Where the grass grows wild,

Over the fence

I go hunting,

For the rainbow

Fresh after the rain,

Washed away

The stains

From my jeans,

Faded tattered

One more hole

Not my pocket

Frayed cuffs

Come undone

I'm running,

Into the thick

Muddy rivers

Splashing happy,

There's no pot of gold

But I'm still golden;

Blue skies

Color me

Into the sloping hills

I've come to frolic

This is

A greener pasture...
