Grey-Blue Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Grey-Blue

Grey-Blue

Today is a day, one of those days
My mind is divided
By infinitive…

I travel back to schools I have gone through
The primaries
The two Secondaries
And
Colleges, academies and universities…

I must have been crazy!

That is what I feel today
That is why I am going to see a psychologist

We play a game
I am the pawn
The patient.

But
With the pockets empty
I think of Layton
(The poet who wrote ‘Red carpet’)

He sold his papers to earn a living
He sold them to the universities
Libraries used to buy such junks
That can someday
Help the future researchers
To write books on us:
“He had different jobs, drank, had many lovers, ” or…

Today my mind is divided
By infinitive
Like the drops of rain that are falling
From the grey sky

While I am,
Blue.
