Elated, euphoric, filled with vivacity
Child-like curiosity
To see what comes next
Enchanted by simplicity
Light-hearted and content

Content, complacent, at peace
Smiles come with ease
But tears sometimes as well
Overall, appeased
Happy with yourself

Crestfallen, low-spirited
Blue and dejected
Smiles are rare
Subdued, and disheartened
Learning that life is unfair

Somber, sullen, sorrowful
Gloomy, oh so dismal
Despondent and weeping
Downcast, mournful
You have stopped believing

Hurting, grim, pessimistic
Hopelessly disconsolate
Spirit now destroyed
Desolate, and desperate
Trying to self-mend
