Growing Up Poem by Molly Mole

Growing Up

Rating: 5.0

You enter a world
a world like no other,
you're on the floor curled
right next to your mother.

You'll get on your knees
On your hands, too
look out to the bees
no more 'peek a boo'

You pull up your pants,
run through the door
look at the ants
run around for some more

With your fishing hat on,
your ready to go.
Your dad pulls you on
oh so eager to show.

As long days go by,
you're bored out of your mind.
You dream you can fly!
You're one of a kind.

Double digits today!
Two letters of age
You get a hooray,
You're turning the page.

The years gone past
the time flies by
they go very fast,
this is not a lie.

You're all grown up,
now what do you do?
You grab your old cup
and your old green kazoo.

You make up a song
A song of no other
You play it all night long
right next to your mother.

Two letters of age ...letters or numbers or digits? letters as in a, b, c, or letters sent through the mail? Your dad pulls you on...onto a boat? You play it all night long right next to your mother.....meaning? at her grave? at her bedside? so you see i have questions about the meanings, but i give it a good anyway. thanks for sharing.
