Guess Poem by Linda I. Weischedel

Guess

Rating: 5.0

I knew exactly what I was fighting for,
yeah and you stood hiding behind your open door,
guess you wasn't too sure,
if my 'exceptional' love was quite mature, for it to grow or even endure.

I was willing to accept my label,
now I'm the one who is playing her fixed cards
at your table, guess I'm not able to win at any kind of love,
what a total sin.

Never been here before,
never been here at a open-shut door, only coming over when it's closed? Nobody knows what you conditionally gave when
it was open except you and I,
now I have left, I said my strongest goodbye,
you are no longer missed,
why, because this door no longer exists.
