Guilt Poem by Kay Bell

Guilt

An innocent mistake
no one had foreseen
finally getting his life together
5 months he had been clean
in just one moment
his life changed forever
he took the life of a girl
he had never even met her
an accident it was
but still this girl was dead
he had to live with this forever
always in his head
all he felt was guilt
sorrow for what he'd done
thinking of the girl
and how she had been so young
he hated himself for it
and felt he had no reason to live
he wanted to kill himself
and thats exactly what he did

his mind became a prison, that death could only free him from. so sad... but true. take care.
