Guilty As Charged Poem by Leaking Pen

Guilty As Charged

Yes I am guilty as charged
When my poems are not read
I retitle my titles
For the sake of my weeping Pen.
A conundrum for me to resolve.
Or should I sex up my titles instead?
To Increase the number of hits
Or re-work old content.
Now that my cunning has evolved
And is fuelled by a confused greedy soul,
Or is it from neglect I fear the most,
Or from baring my soul on line
And getting cold feet in return.
I am fragile after all
I need affirmation
For my voice to be heard.
Don't we all? Don't we all?
Stepping out from our sheltered world.
Forgive me! Forgive me!
Forgive my bruised ego
But I need this rush to continue
To feed the inks of needy Pen
If I bare my soul all over again
With a new title and keep old content,
Would I get a second chance from my illicit deed?
And be read with fresher eyes
Free from guilt and satire?
I am following patterns learned
From new social media appetite to reinvent
And make drama from over the smallest thing,
What is good for the goose is good for the gander!
