Hadleigh

Hadleigh is for me
Rustic retreat
Idyllic Idler Bookshop
Twisty lanes
Wonderful walks

Throw a log
On that open fire
Pour the wine

Take verses
Of Poet Laureates
From the rucksack

Enjoy the third
On the radio

Dinner Soon
Jazz pub soon
Oh yes
Hadleigh is for me

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
