Haiku For The Cynically Haunted... Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

Haiku For The Cynically Haunted...

Rating: 5.0

An Unorthodox Modern Triad Haiku
(Broken Syllabic Sequencing)

Shadows Cannot Breathe,

The Dead Cannot Speak To You,

Breezes Are Just Trees.

Your Lips And Tongue Move,

Sharing Time With The Sod;

A Sad Soliloquy

Yet......Why Not?

Who Am I To Judge Death's After;

Whilst In The Before!

Absolutely wonderful portrayal of human attitudes and beliefs concerning death ~~and the beyond. Having no beliefs myself, the bumps in the night in the 160 yr old church where I live, give me no pause
