Haiku In July (2015) Poem by Jacqui Thewless

Haiku In July (2015)

Sparrow

Thin clematis shoot,
not without purpose; tiny
claws grip, before flight.

My weather

For pliant stalks, dry
roots: rain. Sun soon, favouring
roses, sends West Wind.
