Hail Holy Beer Poem by Connie Tallada

Hail Holy Beer

Six AM my clock is ringing
Can't stand up, my head is aching
I can't remember what happened
My head is turning from the pain
All I know I was with my peers
Last night we were having beers

Oh, hail holy beer at the barrel
You make me sick, you make me ill
I just can't stop from wanting you
You always taste like a brand new
My taste bud is always longing
Can't fight the urge of wanting

My clock is turning so fast
I'ts eight, time for my first class
I have to go but I'm still burning
From this damn pretty good hangover
Back to bed untill I get better
For tonight another case of beer
