Hailey, My Daughter Poem by Linda Barnes

Hailey, My Daughter

The fluttering I felt
Deep inside my soul
Perfection of warmth
Surrounded in Love

Life was amazing
Its what you gave to me
In every movement
When you were inside me

Wonder of excitement
Not yet known
Visions of you
When I danced alone

The Mother I am
Is what I became
When I held you tightly
As it began to rain

My Love for you is so deep
That I thought I could not breathe
And my heart forever broken
When you were taken from me

I still see your beautiful face
Your lips red as wine
Because you are my Daughter
So precious and forever mine

Now rest my beautiful baby
Mommy is still here
Holding you oh so closely
Loving you forever, still
