Hair Of The Dog Poem by Douglas McClarty

Hair Of The Dog

Will it be red or maybe white
Really can't decide which, tonight
, Shiraz or Sauvignon blanc
Don't matter going to get drunk
The liquid can take worries away
Payback comes the very next day
Though more pleasure than a pill
That second bottle oh God I'm ill
Last nights party, got carried away
Feel I traded one more precious day
Need a drink will make me feel good
And get me back in a party mood
Merlot, Shiraz or Sauvignon Blanc
Great life? Being a continual drunk.
