Can we learn any lesson from Haiti?
Is it Almighty’s curse or pity?
Are we prepared to pay heavy price?
Will we not change and be very nice/

How many 9/11 or Haiti will take place/
Seems nature is in fury and in race
To wipe out complete out look or face
Not a single thread will be left to trace

We are digging our own grave
No solutions but putting front brave
Inviting troubles for unnatural acts
These are known and emerging facts

Earth is deprived of gases and becoming hollow
Creating vacuum which does not allow
Earth to retain its original solid structure
Burdening self with deep holes and fracture

Gas emission is alarmingly exceeding
Sky is loosing layer from shielding
Rivers are inspire and not receding
Air is polluted and diseases spreading

Many islands may disappear in times to come
Rise of sea level is matter of concern and not welcome
Pretty small things drive the population to starvation
It is not far that we may face soon complete annihilation

Palaces and buildings will come down like pack of cards
No warning signal or timely help can come forward
It will be over in no time or in split of seconds
We may rush for help but only to witness the wounds

Thousands have lost the lives and perished
Life is at stand still and almost finished
Chances for survival are simply diminished
Nature’s second onslaught may be accomplished

Are we to live under pressure and constant fear?
Consequences of cruel nature and burnt to bear
Eyes filled with agony and tears
No hope for future and deserted faces to wear


It is humanity call to rush to their aid
No lip words or hollow gestures to be paid
Show of solidarity and sympathy words to be said
Respect to dead and proper wreath to be laid

We can mourn the death and express sorrow
Build the foundation for better tomorrow
All sources to be used even if to borrow
Precautions and measures strictly to follow

Tragedies and incidences may soon be forgotten
We may run the show on same pattern
Nothing to learn from our past mistakes
Depleting complete sources as water from lakes

We must think seriously end playing with nature
We got to take steps to protect our bright future
Future generation may not pardon us for our crime
What are we going to give them for their time?
