Half A Heart Poem by Claude Davis III

Half A Heart

Sitting here with half a heart
I thought you were the one
Right from the start
Still waiting to just grow apart

I can't stand staying up till three
Wishing all night long
That you would stay with me
Whatever you say, I disagree

There's no reason to leave me behind
Our love was once unbreakable
But I guess it's no longer intertwined
I just wish my life could rewind
