Half Closed And Half Opened Poem by Hytower Wang

Half Closed And Half Opened

Half Closed And Half Opened
-for one who was kept company by pain in the hospital
Hytower 201

The smell of medicine forced its way into hospital rooms
Boasting that he himself was no other than an acupuncture needle
The pain practiced medicine as a quack
Health indices anxiously urged ordered medicine into a prescription
Advising to adapt any stuff which avoids sweetness and saltiness to feed the haspital pillow when the memory or even the dream palled
The bare foot of a small lamp walked on tiptoe to the edge of bed
The eyes and the ceiling, gazing at each other at times
Above the roof, in the morning sky
There were supposed to be stars
Who, between awakening and dozing
Put a few doses of prayers
And said goodbye several times without any movement
Keeping eyes half closed and half opened the whole night
