Halloween 2016, October 31st: Only In America? … [ Creatures Of Halloween; D A N G E R S Of Halloween! ; Short]
This time of year Ghosts and Ghouls abound;
the closer Halloween comes, the more G's are found.
So careful where you go by yourself at night.
If you're with ‘friends', maybe the G's, ‘them', will bite,
…….NOT you!
If you're lucky, the G's will only lick your skin,
BUT, if they like your flavor, they WILL Dig In.
With fearsome teeth and rasping tongues they'll eat,
first your skin, but THEN your MEAT, ….from head to feet, ….
until all that's left of you is your skeleton: your BONES,
and vestiges of your HORRIFIC Shouts, Shrieks, and Moans.

Great imagery. And the flow is perfect. It reads like Dr. Seuss- -a very dark, dark, dark Dr. Seuss. Great poem, Bri.
though in india at least in Bengal(kolkata) in which state I live there are many ghosts and many structures of the embodiment of superstition but people here not so accustomed to celebrate with ghosts that is to say Halloween. I knew the Samhain, the Celtic festival especially when I read Riders to the Sea an one act play by J.m.Synge....in my Syllabus.....anyway your poem seems a message for the children to be aware of ghosts at night...nice and enjoyable.
It sounds so scary....! But somehow Halloween is a time for kids to be out in the streets, knocking at doors, wearing funny dress etc etc...! As a young boy I am sure, you must have given chills to many! Do you hear strange knocking at the door or see apparitions hiding under your bed? However hope you are no more a skeleton now with all your flesh eaten away! None of us want to see you in such a sorry statet! How come we don't have it here....! Oh.... I didn't wish you Happy Halloween..... Now let it be for the next Halloween!

Happy Halloween. Over the years I have come to like Halloween. Now that kids are grownup this is the only day when so many kids knock the door. One was dressed as Trump. There must have been an Hillary too couldn' t pay attention. Thanks for sharing.

Halloween celebration parties are fun.But I am afraid if real G'host hides and eats one up? An art or a piece of writing can evoke stong feeling, when tears flow or fear felt is very much true.Halloween party can leave you really terrified.
