Halloween Once More Poem by Marilyn Lott

Halloween Once More

Streets are filled with children
Oozing with their charm
Costumes chosen carefully
From cities and country farms

You can hear their little giggles
Sweet as they can be
I wonder if they have the nerve
To cruise the local cemetery

Pumpkins filled with lots of treats
Held by hands so small
Crunchy leaves beneath their feet
For after all it’s fall

Exciting for these children
And as they’re sent out the door
I pray it isn’t cold and wet
Yes, it’s Halloween once more!
