Hand Of Friendship Poem by David Harris

Hand Of Friendship

Rating: 5.0

You hold out a hand of friendship
to everyone you meet.
Sometimes it is taken
sometimes it is not.

The ones that refuse never know
what they might miss.
If that outstretched hand,
may have belonged to an Angel waiting there.

Someone who would have helped
unburden some of their load.
So the next time someone puts out a hand of friendship,
grasp it readily.
For you will never know if the stranger is really an Angel there.

Some are afraid to take the offer of friendship, but they miss so much by not taking it has you say...10

Simple but a great advice. Extended hand needs a shake. May be God has taken the form of a stranger and spurning it may deprive one of the chance to meet the God. Very good write. I greatly enjoyed reading it and realisation has dawned on me too. Thanks for the nice piece of work.

Generosity of spirit is rare, and should always be rewarded with friendship. Nice poem.

Well you no what I say...a hand and then my arms...to wrap around and give a hug to pick you up when you are down.....give you smiles and no more frowns: O)

Okay David, am waiting for that hand more times than not......wonderful, comforting poem to me......reminds me of my Lost Chances, the ending at least but this is by far superior and conveys so much more..............marci.xo

Now that's a good idea David, as long as they don't squeeze my hand too hard! Lovely poem about friendship and a thorough pleasure to read. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
