Hand Of (In) Dependence Poem by Low Li Ling Jasmine

Hand Of (In) Dependence

If I let go of this hand which i held on for some time
Will I lost my direction?
If i fall down, will yours be my helping hand?
I gazed at the gathering darkness
Will there be some divine interventions at near future?

I will put on a brave front even if fear is rosing inside
Smile even if it eating me inside
Holding my arms to fend off the heaviest downpour
Even if it's a futile effort, I would walk through
The rain would stop & i found shelter at near end

If I let go of this hand which I held on for some time
I'll be on my own
If I fall down, no doubt I'll be back on my feet
I gazed at the oval moon that rose above the forest
Casting a faint radiance, shimmering hope of near future
