Hands In Praise Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Hands In Praise

Hands in praise

All birds yelled
And felt as if jailed
It was havoc played
The rain was delayed

The effect was immense
All faces turned tense
The rain god was unpleased
The showers were nto released

All eyes were staring at sky
With helpless hands to try
Raised in praise
Oh creator, save us from death's chase

The cracks are developed on face
As if mother earth is losing race
Animals are in search of water
Birds fly no where

The prayers are heard now
The rain is lashing very hard
The earth is showing no sign of resentment
Everywhere is happiness at this moment
