Hannes Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Hannes

To the fourth dimension of life,
To the fourth levels of man,
The fourth power of our choices;
Today you are an octogenarian.
Born as Johann Friedrich Theodor Erich Lichte,
Today we celebrate your 80th birthday;
Hannes is your best names known to us all.

It is very great to be an octogenarian,
For you were born on the 13th of May 1926;
It is so great to be at this age!
Hannes is your sweet name known to us all.
We the children, grandchildren and,
All it's extentions do respect you a lot.

You have more experiences than to bear,
And we will always wait for your teachings;
Of the hopes and dreams,
Of this world of man's journey,
You were born many years ago! !
You're like the green olive tree to us all,
Your love and care had brought us here so far;
We will always remember you.

Today as an octogenarian,
We do respect you a lot for your teachings;
The voice of gladness is what we share like,
Your love and care towards us.
Harmony and nobility is noted in every situation of your's,
Like a sweet which came from a far country;

Imaginative flair with your muse,
Have i nice notion ever salted with love;
When a blackman is now closer to you.
Like the barrows where the faries dwelt,
So is your world so sweet among the years;
We the family members do love you.
The synthesis of tradition,
The life of one who has taken age;
You are that we needed to learn from.
