Happiness Poem by Christopher Cariad

Happiness overwhelms me
And the love over flowing,
When my dearest friend holds me close.
The pain inside of loss, hurt and abuse
Has finally left
And Joy has taken over
That hardened life of stone.
Breaking all the boundaries
That where set before me,
Boundaries of fear and boundaries of hate.
I find myself full
And beating the odds
Of limits that where holding me down
And the obstacles that kept me from living.
I have finally arrived at a place of serenity,
A serenity that will carry me.
Carry me home.
