Happiness Poem by Christina Simmons

Happiness

Rating: 3.0

I want to scream! Scream!
Screaming out my emotions,
Bawling so loud everyone can hear

Restraining me a wee bit: Children! Children!
Where are you? Come on!
Lets go out to play, jump! Jump!
As high as you can - looking like a kite

Feel free! Be three! Leisurely as a bird
Not having a care in the world.
Tom and Jerry where are you?
Having some kind of delusion, fantasising over a lost cause.

Really I'm quite a fortunate person; have a lovely big house,
With a huge garden:
Two dogs outside! Rottweilers actually,
Guarding my front gates

Have decor you'd die for; Wall to wall carpet,
All the fine things in life, want for nothing,

Everything at my fingertips, have control,
See whom I need on demand; rich! Rich! Rich!

Have money to burn! Money to spend,
That's the game of life; aiming for what I prefer
