Happiness In Peace Sadness In Fighting Poem by Draven Cestodio

Happiness In Peace Sadness In Fighting

Calm and cool I stand in front of you after having bumped into you
You slurr and you swear with all your strength but none of it worth a dropp of ink
All your anger and rage turn your face pink and your veins bulge
I stand there with my hands up in the air and apologize over and over
Yet you just want to say how I am blind and stupid with no future
My back straight and my head held high I apologize one last time with a quick goodbye and have a nice day
With my first step away i feel better that I didn't give in to your need for hate and hoped you would find peace
However you did not learn from your first mistake
You grabbed my shoulder and hit me in the face
No more warnings I had done all I could but it just didn't take
You wanted violence and pure hate
Will calm and cool I gave you what you wanted with a few quick hits
Saddened by the fact that I had failed at making peace
I walked away with my head hanging low
