Happiness No Longer Lives Here Poem by mbuyu makayi

Happiness No Longer Lives Here

Deathly dark is
this place.
gloominess is
painted on
every face.

Tis so barren here,
So unforgiving here
Flowers of love no longer
Grow here.

Hope, sweet hope.
Feathery hope, once
perched on the
branches of my heart.
Has flown away.

Rivers of sorrow,
Have replaced
the laughter that
used to flow.

Everything is all gone
Pain and darkness
conquered
and have won.
