Happy Insomniac

I don’t believe in sleeping or frowning,
In this life of horror,
All I wish to do is dream,
Dream about how I could change,
Change my life for the better of mankind,
For all I do is sit here and wonder,
Not completely understanding,
Where I could be,
For all I wish to do is dream,
I dream about worlds beyond my sight,
Beyond the edge of time,
I dream about ponies and fairies,
About castles and damsels,
I believe that if I try,
I can be anything,
Anything I want,
Or if I dream enough maybe I can fly,
Fly away on my imagination to another,
For all I wish to do is dream,
‘Cause what’s a life with nothing but working,
Working and crying,
Through the night,
For we all need friendship and dousing hardship to help us through,
Through this life,
We all need to smile,
Wonder and nurture,
Nurture the helpless,
The scowling and mourning,
‘Cause I don’t believe in sleeping or frowning,
For we’ve only got one shot,
To try and find it,
Our purpose in life.
