I was asked to write a short poem
about mother's day
But when i sat down to write
i had so much to say

When i was little
you held my hand and smiled
When i got hurt i would cry
you would comfort me and dry my eyes
Life has difficult decisions and you are my guide
you taught my how to decide

Now that i am older
my love for you remains
you do not hold my hand
because im way past that age
but you still comfort me through my pain
when difficult obstacles and decisions come my way
you lead my onto the right path
before i go astray

Mum i want to say thank you
for everything you have done
May God bless you
on your special day
And to all the Mothers around the world
