Happy Tractor Poem by Marilyn Lott

Happy Tractor

Have you ever seen a happy tractor?
Oh I have, so many times
Out in the elements they seem content
With the dust and dirt and grime

When you see one out plowing
Or pullin’ a baler behind
Just look right at that grill
A wide smile I think you will find

They come in lots of colors
Rugged and ready to roll
No matter how hard they work
Takes many years to take a toll

And girls, well they just love ‘em
And the farmer that works the land
Put that man on a tractor
And he really takes command

Those big wheels are so massive
Gives them a lot of control
They look huge to a bystander
Looking up from down below

Next time you observe this machine
Just take a moment to study this factor
Look at the grill on the engine
You’ll notice it’s a happy tractor!
