Harder Harmonies Poem by Lora Cooley

Harder Harmonies

A shadow on a shadow
A glimmer of the past
Trapped in the old apartment
The child that she once was
It's a shame
I fear fate
I let life get twisted
And nothing makes sense
The bench and that piano
I'm pressing down the cords
What'll it take to make my life sound like that?
It's strange - it feels so right when nothing else does
