Hatcher's Pass Poem by lost lindsey

Hatcher's Pass

Wind pushing through my arms
And my back and legs,
My long blonde hair whipping
Around my tired naked body.

Sitting on a side of a mountain,
Sometimes it's as if
My feet dam up the glacier river
Or I will drown in it.

Moose shuffle through snow
And my body becomes red
And flushed,
Snow clings to my hot skin to melt.

I lay down and curl up in it,
Feeling youth swirl up in me,
To my rosy red cheeks
And burning feet

I wake to birds chirping
And feel new green sprouts
Beneath me, warmth of sun
On my face.

Although the winters nightmares
Forever haunt me,
I welcome myself to
Natures lovely embrace
